An allegory for the ages. With characters names like Ambition, Avarice and Innocence, The Eye of Envy is a clever and poetic morality play about the evils of covetousness and ungratefulness. In the soporific little hamlet of Sleepy Hollow, a young blacksmith begrudgingly lives out his days making horseshoes and unsuccessfully chasing the local women. After an unexpected detour brings a wealthy man and his beautiful, blushing bride across the blacksmith's path, he comes upon a wishing tree and ends up switching bodies with the man whose life he covets so dearly. But all is not what it seems, and before long, our lowly blacksmith comes to realize the error of his ways in this artful meditation on the nature of envy.

In Sleepy Hollow dwells a young blacksmith who, when not happily making horseshoes, is courting a village maiden.
